Shake Shack NYC

Two evenings ago, after work, I met Kristen for dinner at the Shake Shack, which is based off a location in Shea Stadium home to the New York Mets. The Mets have been living in the stadium for decades and dwell under the bleachers. Shake Shack as located at Madison Square Park, near Madison Ave. and E23rd Street. The park was quite quaint, especially with the newly blossomed green trees surrounding.

The lines [of people] were predicted to be long but Kristen and I only waited three minutes because a. we got there at 6:20pm and b. it was raining. The trees created a natural umbrella but we still had to get napkins to wipe down the seats and table. I looked up to the sky and a rain drop fell into my eye- a natural tear drop from the earth. My itchy allergy eyes cleared up. I ordered the Shake Shack cheeseburger, Kristen the same. We got back online after the burger to order custard milkshakes. I apologize if you don’t like the word custard, but just remember it’s just a thicker kind of ice cream. I had vanilla, Kristen had vanilla/chocolate mixed a.k.a. [also known as] black and white.

I think Kristen needs to work on her posture, because she sat like that the whole time- poor girl.

The meal was a lack-of-nutritionally satisfying delight and tasted even better because I was very hungry. I had a nice chat with Kristen then ran to catch the express bus back to Staten Island. I was sprinting down 5th avenue, as I was finishing up the ice cream, and developed a cramp in my left side. My mind flashed to my freshman year high school bio class where we learned cramps are caused by a shortage of oxygen and a build up of carbon dioxide [?] in your body. Therefore, I took in deep breaths then realized I was running in the wrong direction and could not for the life of me, figure out where the bus stop was. Minutes before, we saw the bus in the distance, but it must have turned off 5th avenue. I ended up telephoning my mother, who was with my aunt, who luckily has every express bus stop in NYC memorized. I feel bad for the passenger on the bus who I threw up my shake shack on.
