Toddler Dances to Florence.

My friend posted this video on my Facebook wall, telling me she hopes it makes me smile. It did.

It is a toddler-boy, sitting in his car seat, dancing along to Florence and the Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over”. It is a great song, and it kind of makes me have the same reaction as the kid did.

After seeing this, I typed in “Dog Days Are Over cover” into the Youtube browser and discovered this girl-singer. She has a nice sounding voice, reminds me of Kate Winslet circa Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I love the songs she chooses to cover. Here are a few I really like:

She also covers Mr. Brightside by The Killers, Sea of Love by Cat Powers, Trouble by Ray LaMontagne, and Heart of Glass by Blondie to name a few. I love when people cover songs I like.
