My Groins Hurt

As I was getting coffee this morning in the pantry room at work, the Baby Bottle Pop theme song popped into my head. I question why that happened.
Baby bottle pop. BABY BOTTLE POP. you can lick it. and shake it. and dunk it. THEN DO IT AGAIN.

I ran twice this past weekend and today my groins hurt. I ran once on the boardwalk and once to the freezer to get out the mint chocolate chip ice cream.

It felt amazing to run outside yesterday. I ran on the South Beach boardwalk in Staten Island. When I arrived I was discouraged because I saw the boardwalk’s wooden planks were covered with snow. Would I be able to run? or would I slip on the ice and be embarrassed by a passing dog. When I say “passing dog”, I don’t mean a dog who is in the process of dying, I mean he strutted by me.

“I’ll take some pictures with my new Iphone and call it a day,” I told myself. I walked up the inclined ramp from the parking lot and immediately saw a man and a woman [father and daughter I assumed from their ages] running in tandem. “If they could do it, I can do it,” I chanted as I started to jog. My running style is very freeing and has no set organization. I jog for a while, then run, then sprint, then sprint as I punch the air, the come to a complete stop to sing the refrain to Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”.

“There were things we’d never do again
But then they’d always seemed right
There were nights of endless pleasure
It was more than all your laws allow
Baby, Baby, Baby”

Celine’s lyrics play at my heart strings ironically, to the tune of “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”.

Let me state the obvious by saying I am glad to be beginning the work week on Tuesday. I am going to count how much elevator conversation pertains to being off yesterday and how “I could just use one more day to the weekend”. Common elevator topics of conversation include 1] the weekend is too short 2] The amount of sleep one got the night before 3] *The Weather. I put an asterisk next to “the weather” because that is the topic I hear about the most every single day of work. I have written about it before, and I will write about it one hundred times more, everyone talks about the weather. It’s cold again. It’s raining. It’s not raining. It’s cold and it’s raining. It’s cold and it’s not raining. It’s snowing. It’s March and it’s snowing. It’s March and it’s snowing? It’s March and it’s snowing!

On that note [A minor], I better go ride the elevators to document more weather talk. Goodbye.
