Dr. Popper, MD

I texted my good friend Matt yesterday. Matt was my schoolmate in college. He was a freshman when I was a senior. Now he is now a junior and I am the Vice President of the McDonald’s conglomeration. I’m just kidding. He’s a senior.

I texted him and said, “What are you up to?” He replied, “Checking the weather for the week.” He then inquired what I was up to. I said I was “reading on the bus home”. He asked “What book [I was] reading?” In response I made up the answer with a fake book, called “Dr. Popper, MD”. See how the conversation went. Matt is a good sport. [I am GREEN, Matt is WHITE]

Here is an excerpt from the first chapter of Dr. Popper, MD [True Romantic Stories of the ER]

Dr. Popper was a generous doctor. He wrote million dollar checks to charities all over the world. Dr. Popper worked in the ER. He liked to flirt with patients. He was a charmer. A Schmoozer. A ladies man. A Man’s Lady.

Dr. Popper exited the elevator and walked down the hallway. He was carrying a chart. He was wearing blue scrubs adorned with a bonnet on his head. Dr. Popper was a looker.

Dr. Popper’s beeper went off. “911 EMERGENCY”, it read. There was no emergency. Oh no. It was really the cafeteria woman paging Dr. Popper. She was in love with him. Her name was Gerty. There love would never last though, because Dr. Popper wasn’t human. He was a robot.

I have a feeling I will be dreaming about Dr Popper…a robot that fizzles like a soda 🙂
