My co-worker Seyi [pronounced Shay] told me I was in his dream last night. I was absolutely flattered. The greatest compliment I could ever receive is someone subconsciously thinking of me.
In the dream, Seyi was my father. [In real life, he is only 7-8 years older than me] He constantly morphed between himself and Alec Baldwin [a young Alec Baldwin]. We were in a ravine. The ravine was rapidly filling with mud. Mud was falling off the sides of the walls. We didn’t have much time before we would be suffocated. I was holding a baby. It was my daughter; Seyi’s grandchild. [In real life, he is only 7-8 years older than me] Seyi climbed to the top of the Ravine to call for help. To get up, he used a rope and a grappling hook. The specific idea of a grappling hook repeated over and over in his head. He looked down when he reached the top and saw that I fumbled the baby. I dropped it in the mud. After the hard work he did physically to get to the top of the muddy ravine and I couldn’t even manage to keep a baby safe. He was upset at me.
Seyi awoke questioning what happened next. Did we made it out of the ravine safely? Did the baby survived. Does the ? His impression our survival was negative.
Here is my interpretation of the event.
C’mon Seyi. You think I really wouldn’t be responsible enough to save a baby in a mud ravine? That is the worst compliment I could ever receive.
I love this picture of you.
