What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

I just brought a coffee from 7-Eleven. Medium with French Vanilla creamer.

I go to this store often. Today there was a new cashier whom I’d never seen.

“Happy New Year,” the 60-year old worker said to me.

“Happy New Year,” I responded with a smile. “Any plans?” I asked him.

“Party!” he said doing a two-step dance in the tiny space behind the counter.

“Nice!” I replied swiping my debit card. “Where do you party?”

“At my church,” he said looking towards the ground and blushing. For some reason, he became embarrassed to tell me that he was partying at church.

“Chin up, sir,” I said lifting his chin up with my right hand. I lifted it too far. He was staring at the ceiling. I pushed the top of his head down so he was looking forward. We stared into each other’s eyes.

“Church parties fun,” I told him. His mouth broke into a smile. I retracted my hand from his face and hit “No cash back” on the debit card machine.

What are you doing for New Year’s Eve? Do you have any plans? How will you spend the last moments of 2012?

I fell asleep by the fire, and had this dream. I recorded it with my new dream video camera that records your dreams! Check it out below!

Happy New Year!
